Dr Aysha Ahmed Al Khoori
Executive Director Healthcare Facilities Sector
Dr. Aysha Al Khoori, is a passionate Emarati health care professional and leader with a rich work experience in healthcare quality and management.
She graduated from the UAE University in 2006 with a Bachelor degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), specialized and gained the Arab Board Certificate in Family and Community Medicine from the Arab Board of Health Specializations in 2013. She is also certified in Medical Quality from the American Board of Medical Quality and has a Professional Diploma in Health Administration from Notting Hill College.
Dr. Aysha has more than 16 years of extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, where she practiced as a family physician and worked as a lead physician, quality director and chief quality officer at SEHA – Ambulatory Healthcare Services and led the VIP and International Patients Services at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi f. Throughout her career, she was leading several projects in quality, patient safety, patient experience and organizational excellence and gained several certificates in healthcare management and leadership such as the Executive Leadership for Healthcare Professionals Certificate from Cornell University and Healthcare Leadership and Administration Certificate from New York University.. She is also passionate about community-based research and gained a certificate on clinical research from Harvard Medical School. She had several publications such as Metabolic Syndrome among Emirati Adolescents: A School Based Study which was published in PLoS One, and Vitamin D deficiency among Healthy Adolescents in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, published in the BioMed Central Public Health Journal. Her experience and qualification developed her to be an expert in quality and patient safety, a great promoter for change and continuous improvement and a leader with excellent leadership skills.
She strongly advocates for the patient and family centered provision of care and is a true believer of innovation and continuous need of enhancing the healthcare ecosystem in all aspects to transform the delivery of care towards healthier individuals and communities in a healthier environment. That made her play a very critical strategic role in Abu Dhabi’s healthcare sector as an Executive Director of the Healthcare Facilities sector at the Department of Health Abu Dhabi.
Dr Aysha has continuously been recognized for her great achievements and role as a healthcare quality advocate and gained the recognition of “Excellence in Quality Management” by the World Confederation of Businesses in 2017 and 2022.
